It’s Saturday……………yep, Saturday and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. Each Saturday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 3.27.15 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Friday here in the forum.

We are lifting "Captured" by "tansy" this week. This layout was created for our current AnnaColor Challenge. I have loved seeing all the sunny layouts this past week with this color challenge, and with the release of some wonderful, bright and sunny ART released by Anna. This layout really jumped out at me, as most people don't think to use yellow for a heritage page, but it worked so well. I love her page design, with the yellow placed at diagonal corners. I love the torn frame, tilted just a bit, and the yellow stitched box, which partially overlaps the photo, is the perfect touch. Within this stitched box is placed some text (a scripttease), along with a word strip. I adore the stains, and paper textures, and I love the subtle addition of the tiny heart brushwork, along with the single little metal heart placed along the torn frame edge. I love the little touches, like the faint hint of the grid pattern, and a few scribbles, and splatters, and her addition of the warmglow brings home that her gorgeous mum is out enjoying the sunshine. The single "Inked Word" says it all - such a great "Capture".

I am so anxious to see what everyone creates, as you never disappoint with the lifts you create, so it is now up to you to choose just what you want to lift from this page. You may choose to lift a single element of the layout, or lift it all - whatever grabs you and takes hold of you when you look at this layout. Have some fun with it - I am sure the results will be awesome – remember anything goes, as long as you are having fun!!!
This week’s AnnaLift will inspire all of us in some way. Maybe you will choose to:
-place your photo at an angle
-use some unexpected color
-use a foto frame
-add some textures with some transfers and/or brush work
-create a layout with white space
-include some WordART
-use some text elements
-use some stitching
