I'm actually looking to go from 17" to 13" LOL!

Each to their own.

17" is great.....but big and cumbersome to move around.

I use an 11" mini at work and adore it.

True! My 13" is fairly heavy but then I got a late 2008 model. The newer models are much lighter.

I don't have any problems scrapping on 13". I zoom in if I need to see it closeup.

Yes, yes, yes!!! I love scrapping on my Mac, the 27" iMac. My eyes are too old for my 13" Macbook these days tho I do use it sometimes when we travel. I'm on PSE10 with Mountain Lion. I don't find it slow or buggy but I do have a lot of memory (8gb) and keep all my digi supplies on an ehd. I did order PSE11 for the action installation ease and it's now on sale at Costco for $49. which includes a "how to" dvd and some supplies.

I too had years of experience on PCs tho not scrapping, and found the Mac world more intuitive despite my PC training. Both my dh, and then my son <--who said he'd never ! get a Mac, have gone that way. None of us has ever had a virus in almost 5-6 years of use either. The virus and security issues were what got my dh to change.

Have fun!

I might reconsider putting elements on my 13'' then although I'll probably strain my eyes a bit.

Girls, another question. Hope you don't mind the interrogation. I'm really liking some of the actions I see on photography sites but don't know if they are compatible with Elements or not . I've haven't a clue about Elements that's all. Am only used to a very old version of photoshop. Hanging out to be able to use actions and all the new filters.

Usually, designers/photographers are good about saying what they are compatible with. I think most "actions" are photoshop based, and "presets" are Lightroom based. Some actions will work with Elements, some will only work with the full version of Photoshop. And finally, some will only work with certain versions. So it's kind of a pain. If you are unsure if it will work with your version, you should probably email the designer/photographer.

Thank you for that Sara. I do have a couple of favourite sites so I'll check them out and see what I can find out. Many thanks.
