Day 10 - Rocky Road Tart. This is one of my favourite pics of my Mum with Grandma - taken after she moved into the nursing home. Grandma was 102 years old.

Day 11 - Strawberry Jam. Grandma was an avid gardener and we often took family pics in her garden. She would have made jam out of her own strawberry at one time. Here we got a four generation pic with Grandma, Mum, Rachel (my daughter) and me. 2006

Day 12 - Chocolate Raspberry Slice. I love this slice but not as much as I love this pic of Grandma with my eldest grand-daughter in 2013 on a visit to Gympie.

Day 14 - Curried Egg Dip. A Heiniger family favourite - but I also found it in Grandma’s Recipe Book! so goes into my project perfectly! Mum always makes this for her Christmas lunch table, especially when we are all together. This recipe was originally served with boiled eggs but we often just have it as a dip with the parmesan rounds!


Mum and I were waiting with the kids for Santa to arrive!

Day 15 - Apple Fruit Loaf. Some of my all time favourite pics with Grandma. A family photo when Grandma and Grandad visited us in Wickham - I did love these outfits my sister and I are wearing that Mum made and a pic of Grandma with my daughter, taken in Grandma's lounge room in Gympie, Queensland in 1995.

a memory of my grandparents ...
on New Years Day we gathered with the whole family at my grandparents ...
My grandmother was also my godmother ... we and our family ... my aunts and uncles and all cousins ... no one wanted to miss this ...

Day 16 - French Tea Cake recipe. Another visit to see Grandma and another photo. This five generations photo went in the Gympie Times along with another local family who had five generations along with the story about Grandma's family.

Day 17 - Golden Lemon Butter. Grandma always gave herself to others - whether it be at my Mum's wedding or playing with the grandkids - she was so patient! Golden Lemon Butter recipe was marked special by Grandma in her book.

Day 18 - Sauce for Fish recipe. Pottering around in her garden, or in her kitchen Grandma was all about service to others. She loved to help her family and friends. She provided the flowers for Sunday Church services for many years.

Day 19 - Apple and Cinnamon Drop Scones. This is a photo of Grandma at our wedding - Dubbo, NSW on the 10th September, 1988 coupled with a recipe marked "very good" in her book. It was special that Grandma and Grandad were able to make the trip to Dubbo for our wedding - wouldn't have been the same without them.

Day 20 - my final page. Recipes from Grandma’s own hand - experiences at Grandma’s Table wherever that happened to be but my favourite spot was at Grandma’s kitchen table, looking at photos, having a cuppa and a chat.
