I'm having a new photocamera. A Canon 500D. It's an oldy, but new to me. I bought it second-hand.
I've also started an online course on photography.
I'm playing and struggling with shuttertime, iso and aperture right now.
Trying to find out how I can shoot some beautiful and sharp pics. Like Veer does, you know :).
So much fun, but it isn't at all easy when you leave the automatic stand and have to adjust all settings yourself to get good pics. I think I will be struggling and practicinng for a while. But I am enjoying it. Having fun!!

How do you take photo's. Do you know how to use your camera, or do you take photo's with your phone?
And when you have any tips and trics, please write them down for me. They will be very appreciated :)

I use my smartphone for taking pictures. The camera app has a *pro* option that allows you to play with ISO, focus, and shutter speed a bit, although the aperture is fixed. I'm trying to get somewhat used to playing with different settings that way before I decide whether spending money on a DSLR is worth it for me.

A few years ago I had the same problem ... and I started a course photography in evening classes ... Step by step I learned how to use my camera ... I'm a Nikon fan ...
The first thing we had to do was taking photos in raw ...
Mostly I use the aperture priority - and iso as low as possible ... 100 or 200

I always want to send you my course ... the images include screenshots of nikon and canon ...

my son has a camara like that, and he loves it.
I think I will ask him to show me how to use it this summer.
I just use my phone for quick pictures

Congratulations!!!!!

I have a Canon 500D that I as gifted with after the passing of one of our designers - Carla Gibson. It was hers and is very sentimental to me. But, I have no idea how to use it!!!!! I am going to put that on my list of things to do this year (after some HUGE Oscraps stuff we have going on :) )

I can always give you a some tips ;)
I also took a number of lessons with a photographer that Marijke also took lessons from, but not in a class but really in the field, in nature that's how you learn the most!

Good luck with your new toy !
