03/04 QOTD: Scrapping strengths

Sometimes you should just toot your own horn! What do you think are your scrapping strengths?

I think mine is shadowing. I didn't care for digi scrapping when I first started b/c my pages looked so flat and boring....then I discovered shadowing and I fell in love with digital scrapbooking. Probably b/c I had been a paper scrapper for years and was used to creating dimensional pages that the flat look didn't appear to me. But shadowing brought me back into my comfort zone of having the allusion of depth and dimension. Funny thing is though, as time went on, I grew to also like a flatter look, and didn't need as much dimension, depending on the page design.

Also, I am a freak about color. I try to make my colors just the right tone, the right saturation, and usually love a bit of contrast/pop to finish my page.

I think that my strength is blending and love to do it! I also am a fanatic about shadowing and take any advice I can get on how to make it better. Not one of my strengths but I really feel that my pages need it! I love to blend and play around with the blending modes!!

Yes, that's one of my specialties! (About the only one) I do like to do Art Journaling pages.

I am with Trudy, I think I am pretty ok and blending. I am also having a good time branching out with masks. Instead of just using them "as is," I have been playing around with modifying them to make them a better fit for my photo and LO.

I'm not the best at it, but I'm also a shadow freak... I always try to make my shadows the best I can, and as Trudy, I love learning how to improve them! And of course, I'm a white space fan and I think it's one of my strenghts too!

I'm fast and prolific (have to be with 12 grandchildren plus all the travel shots I take). I love playing with blend modes, masks, and layer masks...almost never use the eraser tool...use layer masks and brushes instead. I think I'm also good at lifting!

Zanthia, I cannot believe how many designers you create for. You must have full time occupation making layouts. I've been a guest CT-er two or three times, and found it to be very time-consuming. I can't imagine doing this for over 20 designers/stores! =:O
