I used Topaz Studio to convert my photo to b/w, then used the Image Adjusts in PS to brighten it a touch so it would stand out against the elements on the page. I used a layer mask to erase a small area of the photo so the paint accent would show through

lgrieveson-messy-pockets-1; I was inspired by the blues of the sky, the beach scene; the night-time building; the black and white calla Lilly; the color turquoise; and the architecture; coffee - among other things.
