This is just gorgeous, Amy! I love the way you used the word prompt, FORTITUDE. Our flowers certainly know how to weather the storms. The black background and that beautiful rose really make this a stand out. I'm giving you a Standing O before somebody beats me to it!!
This is just wonderful, Amy and a great testament to FORTITUDE. Our flowers know how to bend and go with the wind and rain - not go against it. I love this so much!!!:heartpumpred::heartpumpred:
I used paper #4 from I LURRRVE Grunge Freebie by Joyful Heart Designs. I desaturated it and then blended two papers from Collage-ish Papers by Joyful Heart Designs. I played with different blend modes and used Adjust Sharpening to give some texture.
Thank you so much, my sweet friend. This one is different for me, but it's where my muse took me. All about symbolism for this week. :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred:
Yes, Jean @scrap-genie - I was going to say Staples. I have an old spiral bound cookbook that needs re-binding and I'm going to try there.
Tracy, let us know who you decide on. I really need to get my old cookbook re-spiraled. Is that even a word???
You did it, Tracy!! Susie @pachimac will be so happy. I love what you've created here and you'll want to use more grunge, now that you're over your initial using. I know you were afraid of it, but it will be your new BFF in AJ pages. I don't know what to do if I don't have any to add to my...
My layout for this week's challenge is added in Post #1.

You DID do it, Tracy!! It only hurts for a little while, then you'll have to add the grunge more and more. Beautiful layout and I'm heading to the gallery right now. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred::heartpumpred:
This is so moving and full of love, hope and definitely FORTITUDE, Vicky. Your blending is superb, as is your journaling and those tear drops! Hugs to you and yes, I certainly do know what you're feeling and going through, my friend. Sending you lots of cyber hugs. :heartpumpred...
Oh my goodness, Vicky. What an incredible story of love and fortitude. Hugs, my friend, as you deal with this difficult time. You have known real love(s) and not everybody gets to experience that. Yes, I certainly do understand your feelings of loss. God is so good and you have been double=...
Week 2 of the May AJ Challenge is posted. Our word prompt for May is FORTITUDE.
I was inspired by one of the quotations I used on my Mood Board. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison and still he said, "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave...
I'm SO glad you stuck with this and found your Phoenix Rising, Kay. I love that you're using the Divided Template, too. Your finished template is going to make quite a statement.
