The blacksmith at Hale Farm was a real working blacksmith and fascinating to watch. The village is now set to be as of 1861-65. My family included a blacksmith during that time adding to my interest.

Thanks for this take off on my page! Love the way you've done the background and frames. We think the bird is a juvenile Brown-headed Cowbird which doesn't look much like its dad and even mom is much smoother looking.

Mallards molt after the nesting season and can't fly. It's a good time to loaf along the water on a hot day. The pamorama is used just as taken, going up as it goes along.
