When the kids were young I traveled from Ontario to here, in BC, to visit family and left the kids with my aunt. That was my one and only time that I traveled alone. I often go off in the car for a day long trip but always come home by bedtime.

I’m similar to you. Artsy, traditional and clustering (no hybrid for me anymore though, gave that up) and I struggle with journaling. I often forget facts or just don’t know how to word it.

Stacked papers under the masked photo and then added a frame and elements over and under the layers. Some stamps were added to the edges and bits of lace were added under the stack and along the edge.

I'm comfortable with pretty much any style, preferring a bit of greenery/flowers and, of course stamps/overlays (who doesn't like that?) but what I struggle the most with is the journaling. I am always really happy with one of my pages if I have managed to tell a "story" rather than just a few...
