Quick in and out today.... not feeling well. I was suppose to go to the base today to pick up Meds and commissary/grocery shopping but have put it off until I feel better. Wondering if it is "old age" coldness I am feeling (I remember when DH started staying cold most of the time)??? But...
Such a delightful framed summer photo of the hand and the tiny butterfly. Love the large flowers and leaves clustering around and under the photo. The vivid colors are so eye-catching. Thanks so much for joining the challenge.
Great suggestions... And I love Alphas and "I like them all wonky and different sizes with varying shadows to provide depth"
What a great thread this is... so many fabulous ideas!!
I agree... the colors do have a touch of fall in them. I am ready for fall, too! Love the photo of the large sunflower... and the floral cluster is perfect. Love that parts are over and under the photo. The scatter is the perfect accent in the background. Thanks so much for playing in the...
I really like photo masks... and like Cheryl, I will "pull them, push them, move them around". I will use a brush to fill in areas of the mask that are empty or too light. I also will use a soft-edged eraser to erase parts of the mask that extend past the edges of a photo. Sometimes I will...
Veronika,
I agree that many of the wide ornate frames "swallow" the photo... one of my solutions (if I like the material the frame is made with) is to place the photo on top of the frame so that only a small edge of the frame is showing. I also add a stroke to some photos in place of frame.

Welcome back, Chris @faerywings !!! So glad you had a good time even if the beach was small. It is good that you are patient with your Mom and listened to her - bet that was what she needed. I see you found some of the weapons.. sorry we didn't get them all picked up before you got home...
The large colorful cluster is a great backdrop for the beautiful photo of the view from the castle. I like the additional brush and spatter accents in the background. Thank you for joining the challenge.
Love that Monarch Butterfly... so beautiful. Great job on masking, blending the photo and outlining around the butterfly to make it the focal point. So happy you shared this lovely LO with us.
Thanks for kicking off the thread this morning, Linda. Glad you and Syd had a fun evening together. BTW, like your new siggy!! We should all take it to heart ... and RELAX!

Oh, it is time for schools to start... and what an adorable photo. What a perfect way to remember her 1st day at school this year. Love the floral cluster and the school theme cluster set against the light abc background paper. Thanks for joining the challenge.
Oh... yes... the PARTY has started! We do have to have a bit of mess so Chris knows she is missed by us all. #devil
I was raised on southern and Mexican food... so anything with barbeque or chili is always welcome! Mesquite flavored BBQ is the best in the world and I can't live without have...
I can always procrastinate when I have a book to read. LOL
And I ALWAYS have a book to read!
And my great-granddaughters would rather float in the pool than.....
So glad you like the colors. Marvelous photo and really like the clustering over the word art... very eye-catching. Thanks for sharing your creation with us.
A real quick in and out this morning. The Red Hat gals will be here for the pot luck lunch and knowing us all... we will probably spend most of the afternoon chatting away. It will be good to have them here and spend time together. Everything is ready except for the spicy refried bean dip...
So glad you love the color palette this month. You did a fabulous job with the LO design... with the masking, blending, and layering. Thanks for joining and sharing your beautiful creation with us.
