Starting late today and everything seems a distraction. But it'll be a good day and evening. Tomorrow we'll roast a small bird and watch football I think.
Chris, wow! you sure were busy. We're all happy the MRI doesn't require any follow up beyond the norm. And Scott! He's super to be so...
It is so nice to have sun again today. We'll be doing grocery shopping soon so the sun is good. I got lots done yesterday and did an outline for the writing. There will be photos, a map, ephemera, charts, and old documents to enliven the text. In fact, gotta go now. Maybe can get back with...
Got up too early (for me) because I was thinking of the things I needed to gather to work on the project I'll do on family history for presents. Also did my usual Monday bills and such. I'm scanning photos and things and still thinking of how to print what I'll create, probably a small book. It...
Today was more wind and rain, some of the rain looking white for a bit, but so far okay. I'm very lazy with no real plans. We saw the Browns lose their tenth straight and will watch more football tonight. I don't really like football, but I can sit with DH but do other things too. I think we'll...
Well, it's done. My morning talk was " A New Look at Documentation" for genealogy. Not the most compelling title perhaps. Three people who really wanted to hear it couldn't come and the weather (wind and rain) was dismal so not totally a surprise that only 14 made it in time for that talk. Maybe...
The sun came out today to raise my spirits. Now to concentrate on being ready for tomorrow's talks.
Chris, sorry you had trouble with the F-W process and end result. But you'll get it all worked out I know.
Nancy, also sorry for the OT loss. What a letdown to go scoreless so long then...
Can't believe how dark it is. With cold and windy it's not very nice. I'm with Chris in being stunned that Thanksgiving is a week from today. If I can get through Saturday's talks, I don't think I have much the rest of the month. Sure hope so.
Chris, hope you are creating those heavenly F-W...
DH did his bird survey this morning but was disappointed that there were so few birds. It was windy which didn't help. Now he's avoiding a nap which he usually takes after getting up early. I'm the one who feels like I need one but I don't know why.
Chris, good for Muffin coming through fine...
Good afternoon, Ozzies. Another gray day here but not so cold. Yesterday I was excited to see two juncos under our thistle feeder. One reason we have it is to attract them. (They are a kind of sparrow, feed on the ground, are dark gray above and white below and one nickname for them is snowbird...
The pot roast was indeed tasty and we were so pleased. Amazing how much flavor there is with so few ingredients. I'm trying to cut down on salt, so this seemed like a good way. It's gray out today, so I'm thinking indoors sounds good.
Chris, it'll be nice finishing up the teeth. Scrapping in...
When I thought I could post, my battery was low but I wanted to continue sitting with DH watching football, so now it's charged back up. Now we're smelling a pot roast in the crockpot. I want dinner time to hurry up with those good smells. Nothing exciting happening today but it was warmer...
Got up early (for me) and went online for talks being given at a meeting in Arlington, Virginia. The group discusses the genealogy computer program I use and the first talk was on recording DNA match data which I have been thinking about a lot. It was very interesting. The second talk was good...
It is below freezing and we've had one little burst of snow that didn't quite cover all the leaves now on the ground - yet. With the wind it must be nasty out there. DH canceled his bird survey for this morning actually because of the wind predicted. Anything over 10 mph is not good for a survey...

You really struck a chord (pun intended) with this one! Had to show it to DH whose senior center group has gotten into bluegrass recently. Very nice design and elements.
I don't know where my days have gone. Tuesday I was invited to lunch before our board meeting by two of my friends. Of course we talked so much we were late to the meeting! Yesterday in the afternoon was the monthly genealogy group at the senior center. That is just two hours, but always such a...
