No special plans this pretty sunny day. The snow is still here, but much reduced and all roads and walks are clear. DH just put basketball on TV, so maybe I'll go out for a bit away from the noise.
Felis, thanks for the photos! Biggie sure is a big guy and tiny almost small enough to fit in a...
This little carving of a raven was a thoughtful Christmas present to my DH from his cousin.

I took the photo of my mother with my trusty Brownie Hawkeye camera. The iris photos are by my sister.

No wonder I was grumpy yesterday. It rained all day turning the yard to a swamp then the winds picked up and after dark the world turned white. At least our only power outage was momentary but some areas lost power. We wound up with several inches of wet snow. I've only been outside to the porch...
The photo is from a walk around the neighborhood on an unusually warm February day of unusual looking clouds.

I'd rather still be sleeping as it is dark, dreary and wet out. But it's over 40, so this is spring. I can't stop yawning and don't want to leave grumpy personals, so I'll just hope to wake up and wish you all a better day.
:sorry:
Another mild day from some light rain to attempted sunshine. DH did the bird survey this morning and lots of early migrants are in like Red-winged Blackbirds and Song Sparrows. Amazing to think it is March tomorrow and another full moon which means there will be another blue moon in late March...
What a week it was, starting with a bit of snow but going up to 73F and later the first spring training games in the baseball season.

I'm not on FaceBook either, so really appreciate seeing that wonderful wedding photo. How totally lovely, but you still look much like that, so that is great.
Before I got here earlier my shoulder had started to hurt so I followed the link Felis gave to the yoga video and did the easy...
Sunny and 50 here, so pretty nice! DH got back to Hum & Strum this morning and had a very good time. Last Monday was a holiday and the week before he was sick, so it was good to get back.
Felis, since you like the snow, it's nice you've got some again. Hope you get to enjoy it.
Chris, knew...
There's some sun today and the 5-day forecast shows no freezing temps. Wow, does that sound like spring?
Felis, I was so surprised to see a page on Quilliam! Delightful that you found your hedgehog photos and did pages on both of them. Hope you find more time to scrap. As Trudy said, you can...
It's gray and a little above freezing here so not bad but not enticing. The spring training games are in Arizona; we were just watching on TV. The team has some new players and one important one hit a home run his first time at bat. It was so nice watching baseball again! And some early crocus...

It's warm(ish) but gray today but I'm happy because this afternoon we're going to go out to watch the Indians' first spring training game (out as we don't have cable/whatever). If you see the cartoon "Non Sequiter" it is exactly my sentiments: "The Eternal Answer for Spiritual Well-Being" then...
Olympics were pretty exciting yesterday. I saw the OT and SO of the women's hockey game and that was something. Agree that shootouts are a let down for all. The two teams are really close in some ways. I'm pretty sure one of the Canadians went to Ohio State. Tough to have only one able to win...
Felis, you're right about getting more views when in a challenge, but we're in this anyway I think. I was envious of your spring plants, but now we have them too. But not quite in time for week 7.
It was quite a week but the best part for me was my Valentine.

Yesterday's warmth was so welcome! I just walked around the neighborhood and saw and heard many birds. I went to one neighbor's yard to photograph her winter aconite in bloom and found one snowdrop too. Now looking forward to Friday when the Indians play their first spring training game...
