Yes, we made it through without losing power or internet/phone service yesterday. The wind gusts here got up to
74 mph and really rattled the stuff outside but all stayed in place although the chairs with the swing frame over their lower legs would lift up a bit then bang down to the patio...
Quick pop back in... the winds are now up to around 40mph with gusts already up over 55mph. So far all the patio stuff has not moved - so hoping it stays like that. The worse is suppose to hit between 3 and 5 PM.
@LSlycord Congrats on the job!!#cheer1 What a relief that it came through for...
Couldn't resist making a LO for Momma O's challenge about getting ready for the high winds today and tomorrow. Got it uploaded a few minutes ago. So glad my neighbor came over and did all the heavy lifting and moving things around for me. The news here has been warning about it for the past...
This is as real as life can be... Under a High Wind Warning today and tomorrow.
A good neighbor came over and helped me move things, take the patio umbrellas down and get ready for the storm.
All I can say is thank heavens for my good neighbors.... I called Robert for help and he came over. He got both patio umbrellas taken down and stored in a sheltered corner, laid the patio swing frame down, and moved a couple of other things for me. I had a metal fire pit/stand/screen cover...
I slept in this morning.. until 8AM! Feeling more rested today. "Old Arthur" is visiting in the back, hips and legs the last several day. It is the higher humidity from the storm fronts. So I am moving slow and walking funny. #annoyed At least the arm is improving each day, so that is a...
I just remembered that I got a freebie - Brocante by Maya deGroot - when I got another collection. I had made a LO for the template challenge after I did the LO with the other collection. Good thing I write things in my notebook - as I spotted it this morning and found it in the store. :nod1:

I called DD#3 late yesterday and this...
Yesterday was slo-o-o-o-w day for me. Didn't get my shower and dressed until mid-afternoon. DSis had sent me scans of family photos she had found. She is not real familiar with computers or scanning - so each photo was small on a full page scan. I was able to use PSE to enlarge and crop each...
@LSlycord @Jeannette and @veer - thanks for the lovely comments.
I stacked 2 of the border and then tucked the photos under them and added more flowers and leaves and other elements and stain. I was very pleased with how it turned out.
Morning all... it is a good day already... it wasn't as cold last night/this morning!!! Temps heading up and may make it into the 50's for the next several days!!! Yes, I had a PJ day yesterday and enjoyed it. But the even better event was I managed to scrap a page!! Took a bit longer than...
Yikes!!! It is only 16°F... talk about cold!!! :brrr: :brrr: :brrr: Oh, wait... it just dropped another degree to 15°F! I will be staying in today. I had to go out yesterday afternoon to pay a bill and make a stop at the grocery store for milk, bread and some fresh fruit. The sun was...
