As I approach retirement - that's is if I ever get to! - I think more about the order of my life. Getting my albums and genealogy done has a new urgency. I have adult kids that live at home, too, at least for a bit longer, so they can do the chores and Mama will play! Alas, it doesn't always...
I go back to see which ones really embarrass me now and need to be redone and which photos I have already used but need a re-do for a different album or family member. Lots of reasons. Sometimes it's just to enjoy them!
I scrap about my immediate family, but also about my genealogy and family history. While I don't like to do AAM pages, I do have some albums where I have my favorite flowers and garden plans, my bucket lists, and things like that. I didn't used to but now I sometimes make pages just because...

I was 6 the year this came out, but didn't dance to it until 8 or 120 years later when I learned to do the Swing. Your LO brings back such happy memories - and that's a large part of scrapbooking!
I love your paper stack and your Santa but most of all I love your pictures. She looks like mischief could be her middle name and her animated face just oozes character!
Your photos are just wonderful! I love the mix of B&W and color - it creates a lot of interest - and the active photos that add energy to the page. Great memories here.
How fun was this?
Using the basic template, I added some paint over the paper that fills the tree for a little extra texture. The snow at the bottom is bits and pieces of the snowbank element. Then I just decorated the tree, applying garlands and scatters to the tree as a clipping mask.
