A continuing favorite at our house, this dish has a long history in my family. I made it just the other night and we always like it.

We finally got together with my nephew to see this new preserve but it was cold and rainy (at first). Still we saw and heard lots of birds including this very wet looking one and had a good time.

This appears to be my fist at the O, but I'd spent over 4 years at another site that folded in 2010.

There is definitely a Kindle app for Windows. I have long had it on my Surface Pro but I read the Overdrive books from the library in Libby, also on the desktop (but then it's a tablet looking thing even though a real PC). DH is reading in Libby on a real desktop and doesn't really want to go...

We had the best time last Tuesday. Other days we were out less time and closer, but it was still great getting to see and hear the birds. It was nice to have some sun and warm too.

What a wonderful way to celebrate this ancestor! Especially impressive that he founded a girl's school.

Green Herons on the pond were a welcome sight and one even close enough for me to get at least OK photos.

This silver-spotted skipper may have been looking for water in these rocks. It was fun blending copies of the photo with four papers.

I was surprised to find this photo of DH's aunt that I don't remember but is so lovely.

The weather turned upside down Sunday night when we got about 4" heavy, wet snow. The crabapple was in full bloom but seems OK but don't know if it can make fruit (imagine the orchards!) but the maple in the tree lawn has its big leaves and the weight of the snow took down a couple of limbs...

So elegant and beautiful. The elaborate frame is not something I would ever have thought to use but it is perfect. Just WOW.

April 9th was a warm, sunny day when we had some weather at 80 degrees and above. Everything responded and blooms were beautiful.
