Thanks for the reminder. I used brushes to darken the wood, and erase parts of the wire and grunge up the title.. (credits in the gallery)

As Karen Shultz indicates in the tutorial, brushes can be used in many ways. In this layout I combined two of Jopke's Edge Brushes to give the wood background some darker areas. Then I used Vicki Robinson's texture brushes as an eraser to remove some of the wire and to grunge up the title.

I have been fortunate to have been to Edinburgh several times. It is my favourite city to visit when in the UK. It is so vibrant and the history is really interesting. I am so very happy to see you have joined us and want to participate in the challenges. There is something for every skill...

Folded corners are fun to make and you get to use another paper too. I have been playing with brushes to make my own photo masks. Not a new trick for many but I like it because I am able to make a mask that is specific to an image. Or add a masked patterned paper to a solid paper to make...
