You found a Joseph Conrad quote that I finally understand! I am still traumatized from reading "Heart of Darkness"...lol. The light in this is very inviting, leading us right into the spooky dream.

Well done. Now THAT is how it is supposed to work. We did similar recently, shutting the door on the dust and clutter and going for a little climb in Minnewaska State Park instead of spending the day on chores.

Love the symbolism...the sugar of the maple tree leading to the "spice" of winter.

Beautiful progression of images here, and especially enjoying the little portrait of the Canada geese pulling in winter.

    E is for Elliott

A layout with a QR code that links to the actual crawling action. Couldn't tell you how I put this together, except it started with the template and finished with a purple leaf brush. In between there was a gradient layer, many, many false starts and frustrations, and then the clock ran out so...

I love your story--and remember, they're a great defense against ticks. We had them next door when we lived in the woods and loved when they ventured over our way. Now we have a flock of wild turkeys who visit...talk about noise! Excellent layout!

That's really a fascinating hobby with lots of rabbit holes to explore. I was recently contacted by a first cousin (lots of estranged people in my family history and many cousins just blipped off the radar), and I chose not to get into family stuff with her. So I get why people don't always leap...

A wonderful story that will be looked back at fondly as a precious snapshot in time. There's a pop art feel to this that I love--especially with the unhappy tomatoes on the left!

Comment by 'musicmom3' in media 'Autumn is in the Air/Anna color chall'

I like how this layout reminds us that it is not all about skeletons, pumpkins, and candy. The critters (and the insects) are definitely part of the picture too. Well done!

Love the hands-in-the-pockets similarity. The template elements work beautifully here, as do those pumpkins.

    Butterfly and Spider

A snapshot of two of the grands in costume on our recent family outing to Legoland New York. Process: The colors of the kids' costumes were as different (and as incompatible) as can be, so I selected Artsy Paper #4 because it looked like it would be a good background for an extraction. I...
