I know exactly what you mean! Yes, I have to work with templates more often, then it becomes easier. I work with Paint Shop, so I can use fewer tricks when using the template. I have to rework each element individually. This is of course easier in PS.

I processed a few more photos from our vacation in May with the template from ET Design. Working with templates is still not that easy for me. It took me 3 days to do this.
