helloOOOO my lOves!
I think I slept really well last night because I don't feel like I am dragging my butt through a vat of maple syrup. It's more like a vat of Shop Rite's Pancake syrup, definitely not as dense. LOL
How was everyone's Monday? Mine didn't feel like a Monday at all. I worked on Saturday, and Caitlyn was home yesterday. Everything felt weird. I know I got a few more things done around the house, yet it still doesn't feel like I accomplished much of anything. I spent an hour on the phone walking my brother through creating an Evite. He is hosting a surprise b-day party for my SIL and asked me to help him with the website.
I packed away my summer clothes
. So sad. And I made a freaking amazing dinner. Since I got so many bags of lentils from FP (6!!)I had been looking for recipes using them. I found a recipe for a crispy lentil salad and made panko and lemon tofu cubes to go on top. It was arugula, the roasted lentils, red onions, avocado, and a lemon dijon dressing. I had vegetarian goat cheese (also from the FP, the tofu was too-- thank you so much FP for your help) for the three of us to crumble on top. I had to go back for seconds.
However, the best part of my day-- I scrapped!! I had started an AJ Week 2 page on Sunday and finished that yesterday, along with the combined Weeks 1-2. I wouldn't say that my mojo is *back*, but it hasn't disappeared completely.
Gary and I have an appt at the DMV this morning to register the new car. It's an hour away so we need to leave here at 8 am. Yuck.
The rest of the day is open so I am trying to study the lesson plan for the BSA Forestry Merit Badge. Did I tell you that my Merit Badge Counselor Application finally went through? It took Nicole most of the summer to get it straightened out because of staff issues at the BSA. When I was helping my coworker the other day-- he is the Merit Badge Whisperer - I asked if I could lead part of the Forestry badge program on the 25th. Now I have to learn how to use Google Slides and everything that has to be covered for the Badge Requirements.
No pressure, Faery
HAGD!

HAGD!
Time truly has no meaning anymore.

We bought a half of a hog and it is ready at the locker but I think Brian will drive over and get that. Anxious to try the meat! And grateful to have a freezer full of meat going into the winter with food prices going up, up and away! Also meeting a friend for lunch. Looking forward to that.

(The motor is under the adjustable frame - only about 10" above the carpet.. YIKES!!!) The only good thing is that head of the bed ended up just slightly higher than where I usually have it for sleeping (raised to 12" rather than 10"). So looks like I will not only be getting a new mattress... will have to buy a new frame, too. The question is do I want to buy another adjustable one or not. We bought this one in 2016 so it only lasted nine years... and the mattress already had sunken spots in it for the last 4 years. The guest room queen mattress/box spring is over 20 years old and is like new still... even though it has been slept on for over half that time. Decisions, decisions, decisions!!! I am seriously thinking about going back to a mattress/box spring/frame... and lots of pillows.
I can live with my bed like it is for awhile until I decide.
