April 2025 Art Journaling Challenge Week 3 {Resolve}

vickyday

Love my O Family!
CHEERY O
Welcome to Week 3 of the April 2025 Art Journaling Challenge! My name is Vicky and I will be your host for this week!

When we resolve to do something in our lives, that determination affects our actions and our motives in our daily lives. Think about some of the things, in the past or in the future or in the here and now, that you have resolved to do…..whether it was a failure or a great success. Were/are there things that could/have be/been done differently that would have/could result in a greater success? Hind sight is always better than foresight, but we need those hind sights to help us succeed in our future endeavors.

Here are some quotes that may help you in thinking about the direction you want to take for your art journal page this week. Don’t stress about it, like I usually do! Just have fun with it! Maybe you will learn some things along the way! That’s what we are here for! Life is all about learning!

Quotes:

Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties. Helen Keller

Resolve and thou art free. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

No man can resolve himself into Heaven. Dwight L. Moody

You know, real life doesn't just suddenly resolve itself. You have to keep working at it. Democracy, marriage, friendship. You can't just say, 'She's my best friend.' That's not a given, it's a process. Viggo Mortensen

I believe that my worth is not measured by what I do, by the honors that are bestowed upon me, or by material wealth that I might obtain. Instead, I am measured by the courage I show while standing for my beliefs, by the dedication I exhibit to ensure my word is good, and the resolve I undertake to establish my actions and deeds as honorable. Burgess Owens

The Bible clearly says that when we have a problem with our brother, we are to go to them and try to resolve the situation. Dave Ramsey

Before and after each kicking attempt, I simply thank God for the opportunity he has given me. I ask that my hard work comes to fruition; I ask for resolve and, most importantly, that his name be glorified. Justin Tucker

Determine that there will never be anything that will come between you that will disrupt your marriage. Make it work. Resolve to make it work. Gordon B. Hinckley

Here is my sample page. You can see all of the credits in the gallery. Can't wait to see yours!

Challenge Guidelines & Template Info:

You can choose to do a single page, double page, tag, or TN each week, or use a divided template—one part for each week. If you don’t have the Divided Template and would like to use it, you can get it here at Dropbox. Thank you to Ona @wombat146 for providing the template choices for us!

If you use the template, we encourage you to post it incrementally:

Post one section in the first week.
  • Post an image of the two together on the second week.
  • Post three sections on the third week.
  • Share the finished page on the fourth week.
Note: The template is NEVER required—just a fun option if you want to try something different!
  • You have until 11:59 p.m. CST on April 30 to complete your pages for this challenge.
  • To qualify for the drawing, you need to use 80% Oscraps products currently in the store (non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not).
  • You need to credit all products used on your page.
  • You cannot use a page created for this challenge in another Oscraps challenge.
  • Upload your page to the Art Journal Gallery and then add your layout to the challenge thread. (Instructions below.)
  1. Upload your layout to the gallery first.
  2. In your forum post, click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
  3. This will open your gallery—click on the layout you want to embed.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Continue.
  5. Your linked layout is now in your post! The image will appear once you click Post Reply.
Everyone who participates in any of this month’s challenges will be entered into a drawing for a $5 gift certificate to Oscraps. You can receive up to four entries into this month’s drawing.

We look forward to seeing your inspiring pages on Resolve! Happy journaling!

Been thinking on this since week one. I knew I needed to show the resolve to change and it turned out better than I thought.
