Well, despite sleeping like absolute ****, I am in an awesome mood!! Yesterday was a great day and I went to bed a happy camper.
Don't ask me what happened with sleeping, I was busier yesterday than I had been in a long time. Gary's restless legs might have woken me up, or it might have been the dog sleeping on my foot but either way, I was awake for several hours.
What happened yesterday to put me in a good mood? My parents came up to visit and then went out to lunch. And... *drum roll* there was no bickering! (Maybe a smidge, nothing that counted.)
My dad's hearing was back enough to have a conversation and he looked tired but not bad for everything that's been going on. I only had to tell my mom a couple of times to lighten up on him, that he was teasing her.
On my way home from the diner, Gary texted that Scott was coming for dinner. He had taken the day off and invited Cait to his house but she suggested he come here. After the long week of work and the conference, she wanted to come right home, can't say I blamed her. We ordered pizzas and then played a game and that always ends up with us in tears. Tears from laughing so much. :lol23:Before Scott left, Cait brought the rats down for a visit and I got to snuggle with the babies, too. Fantastic day ♥

Today, I am off to the FP in the morning, and I am planning on going by myself. I should be fine to drive. If the boot feels clunky next to the brake pedal, I'll take it off but it should be fine.
After that, I should get a little work done in my office. It's a mess again. How does that keep happening? ;) I am going to be out of the house for 4 -- count 'em --*four* days next week so I should take the time that I have now to get myself organized.

Who has fun plans happening this weekend?
Have a great one!

:jawdrop2:
Good morning. Don't faint, Chris @faerywings - yes, I'm REALLY up this earl and thought I'd pop in and surprise you. SURPRISE. :floorlaugh:
She's here!!!!!
dance4
I am so sorry that you were up because of insomnia but dang, it is great to have you here!
I see the orthopedist on Friday, and next Sunday is the 6-week mark. I am hoping that he will tell me that I can get back to work because I am on the schedule two days that following week. I made my plans to include time to be at picnic tables and no hiking. If I have to work in the boot, so be it.
found my prescription glasses two days ago. So, I've already been to the eye doctor and ordered new ones, but these are pretty scratched, so it was time. What a difference these have made. I've been wearing those dratted bifocals and craning my neck to see my monitor. I've actually gotten a "crick" in my neck from it. My new glasses should be coming in anytime now. When I went in, I was complaining so much about the bifocals. The doctor said, since they were fairly new, that as soon as I got my close ups, they'd sent my bifocals in and have my distance prescription put in the frames that I already have. They're even going to have the transition (color) in them. How nice is that?
You will be so much happier with the new prescription. That is fab that the dr will be able to rework the frames with the new Rx too.
How is the family? I miss hearing about all of your shenanigans. Notice how that is spelled? Shenanigins. :giggle4:

I'm putting together a store of meatless recipes for when I'm cooking for the grands next week. The 11-year-old has decreed we need to eat less meat, and she's 1000% absolutely right. I've tried out a few here at home and David has even liked some of them. I'm looking at some that involve tempeh - I have no idea what that is, but I'll try to find some at Trader Joe's today when I'm in town and see what I can do. Also looking forward to Duke alumni watch party at a local brewery tomorrow night (they are in the men's NCAA Final Four) and I'm hoping I won't be so tired from the day in DC and the 2-hour drive back that I fall asleep over my lager.
I am not a huge fan of tempeh, but I love tofu and seiten. If you want any recipes using them, I'll be happy to share. I made tempeh BBQ "ribs" and wasn't impressed. I also made pulled "pork" with jackfruit which was surprisingly good. Still-- tofu is my meatless fave.
Be safe today.
I have no choice but to root for Duke since my nephew is a *huge* Duke fan. He went to the game last week. My SIL posted a ton of pics of him in his jersey on FB. No idea who his player is, but the jersey has a number 1 on it.
It was good to chat and reminisce about my brother and all the wonderful places and things that they had seen together! She still plans to travel to Australia to spend part of the year with her children and grandchildren, but also wants to continue travelling the world , but most likely with a tour company instead of on her own, like Tom and her used to do all the time. She certainly has a wanderlust!!
I bet your feet feel fantastic today! What color are your toes today?
You must be so happy and relieved that your SIL wants to keep doing all of the things that she and your brother loved to do.
LOL! That is so funny about World Rat Day. Caotlyn told us that at dinner. I bet that I posted something about Rat Day here last year and it is still in my subconscious. I gave the baby girls kisses to celebrate with them last night.
no way ever that we would become vegetarian or vegan.

I could probably be vegetarian but never, ever vegan. The pizzas last night were so darn good and the extra cheese-- mmmm mmmm! Vegan mozzarella... not gonna cut it with me.
Ilene and I had a good day. Didn't get back to the house until after 1. Then we played qwirkle before I headed home.
How many rounds did youplay and what was the final scoring?
Another quick in and out today. We were very relieved when DSon#1 and wife arrived where DD#2 lives near Branson, MO late yesterday afternoon. They drove from Nevada and battled through heavy rains/winds especially through Oklahoma and into MO. And DSon#2 and wife flew into Springfield, MO yesterday... their flight was delayed due to the storms and tornados in the area. We breathed a sigh of relief when they let us know they were there safe and sound. Max's funeral was this morning. Unfortunately both of the boys and wives have to leave late today or early tomorrow. I am hoping that DSon#1 and wife will stop here for a quick visit on the way back to Nevada.
The weather really didn't cooperate with the family travel plans :(
I hope that they were able to travel back home without any issues.

I got my order from Wild Birds Unlimited yesterday while I was with Ilene. Besides the usual spicy seeds and suet I ordered I got some meal worms for the bluebirds and powdered nectar that you add water to for the hummers. I've not had any luck with meal worms before at the bird feeders, so I hung them out by the bluebird "house" they are occupying to see what happens.
Are the mealworms live or dried? I can't do live mealworms. Or maybe I could now, but when I was a kid, they grossed me out.
Scott's landlord asked him to take his feeders down for the spring/summer because of the bears. I feel really bad for him and Sam, they love the birds. In my fit of innsomia last night I was thinking maybe he could put a hummingbird feeder on the front porch. I don't *think* bears would mess with that.
Good for you getting in dentist and eye exams.
Nothing exciting around here today,
Ok lady, I read about your day and you did a lot! Of course, I don't know how anyone can survive without coffee so I don't know what's up with your DH :D
(Although it will be much easier if we ever go through a coffee shortage. I'll have to kill off my DH to reach the coffee first. JK. Or am I?)

Howdy. Thanks for the good "glasses vibes", everybody. I MUST tell you where I found them. You all know that I've torn my house apart looking for them. I found them down inside one of my black boots. Yes, I really did. HOW on earth they got there is one of life's biggest mysteries.
NO WAY!!! :rotfl:
Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a good day. Friday's are half days, so spent the afternoon getting the girls squished and smashed - thankfully it went fast and I was in and out in shorter time than it took to drive to the appt.
Good for you!! Pain in the butt and everywhereelse but necessary to do.
That is so neat that your friend painted a pickle ball court in her driveway! Don't fall and break anything. Vicky will tell you that is not fun to go through :)

Better get ready to head out soon.
xoxo

Good morning,
Quick in and out this morning. Heading to breakfast Bible study at church. Ruth is not feeling well this morning after a rough night but wants me to stop by for the breakfast casserole she made for our meeting. Then I will go to Dorothy's and transfer the food to her handicap van and drive her to the church. I made Cinnamon Raisin French Toast Bake and will take syrup along. I hope it's good since I've never made it before!

Have a great day!

I am excited for this weekend. It is General Conference for the church I belong to. Instead of attending our regular Sunday services we stay home and watch broadcasts on our television. There are a total of 5 two hour sessions that we can view with messages from the leaders of our church. This happens twice a year and is always a good time for me to self assess where I am in my life and how I can improve. Anyway... that is what is on my agenda this weekend with a little scrapping time and hopefully I will find a little motivation to clean my office a bit too. The weather is sunny but chilly and I plan to get out and do some walking between sessions as well.

Morning everyone and Happy Saturday? It is Saturday right?! I have lost count of the days since DH retired and this is only day 5 :giggle4: . He is still waking up at 5:30am and tries his best to be very quiet, but I still hear him and it takes a bit to get back to sleep. Oh well I guess it will take awhile for his internal clock to change. Today is sunny and mild and so I hope to be outside working in the gardens. You should see all the moss that I have to get rid of in the backyard!! Last year we hardly had any because we hardly had any rain, but this year, my goodness it is a sea of green! DH got the backyard cut, it was like a jungle back there, so it sure looks good now! We picked out our choice for the vinyl decking and that has been ordered, the railings are in production, so it shouldn't be too much longer before the work starts on replacing the two upper decks. I can't wait! I really need to get the photos off my phone from my DH's retirement and our last hike, so I can get some scrapping done! Perhaps that will happen on Sunday when the weather turns back to rain and we are stuck in the house. Wanna place a bet that doesn't happen?? :rolleyes1: I have a feeling my DH will have something for us both to do! Oh well life is never boring when he is around!

We ordered pizzas and then played a game and that always ends up with us in tears. Tears from laughing so much. :lol23:Before Scott left, Cait brought the rats down for a visit and I got to snuggle with the babies, too. Fantastic day ♥

Yum pizza sounds good! I haven't had that in months, I might have to get what I need for one at the store today. So fun that you all have such a good time playing games with your family, it puts a smile on my face just thinking about it! :lovey3: Hope you get everything that you need at the FP this morning and that you can drive ok with that darn boot on.
I made Cinnamon Raisin French Toast Bake and will take syrup along. I hope it's good since I've never made it before!
I am sure everyone will love your French Toast dish!! It sounds very good!! Enjoy your day of Bible Study!

You sound like you are having the same weather as we are right now, the mornings have been very chilly. This morning however the temps are a bit milder, so that is nice! Hope you get out for a few walks in between your sessions!

Ok coffee cup is empty and I need to make a grocery list then get ready for the rest of the day! Have a great one! :waving3:

It turned out very good! I will make it again probably when the kids come in the last weekend of May!
Bible Study was wonderful!
I know you are enjoying your DH being home.....if for no other reason than not having to fix those lunches everyday! ;)

Hi Everyone! Pickleball was great, my shoulder did great, and no one got hurt! Everyone brought something to eat and we had a very nice brunch both before and after! Belle did awesome for her first time every playing. Then we went to the movies with some of the ladies. Mark and I worked in the yard a little bit and now it's "yoyo" dinner - You're on your own. I'm choosing to skip it and scrap, Belle's asleep, and Mark will heat up leftovers. It's been a good day!

@BrightEyes thinking of you and your family and praying for you all.
@faerywings I chuckled when reading it was National Rat Day - absolutely that was the thing you were missing! Somewhere in your subconscious you totally knew!

Have a great evening everyone!

I thought, all day, that I'd get in here, but it's after 10:30 and I'm just making it in. Chris @faerywings thanks for the warm welcome back. I think about all of you so much but just seem to rarely make it in here. I have such a busy social life, you know. That's why I'm sitting on my computer at this time on a Friday night. Adrienne and Roger are out of town and when they're gone, things are quiet on the ranch. We DID all go out on Wednesday night for dinner at the local pub. We live very near a big lake, so in the summertime, things are hopping around here. It's not quiet boating season yet, but the local bar was jumping on Wednesday. A lot of "locals" go there and the parking lot was packed.

With Braden away at school and Alyssa is always with her new bf, we don't see much of them. Ava is almost in her third trimester and is slowing down a little, at least for her. Anyway, there were 8 of us Wednesday night and we all crammed into a big booth. It was cozy.

We're still having nasty weather and lots of rain and high winds.

Chris, @faerywings I'm so glad your parents didn't bicker (at least not much). Sounds like your dad could hear a little, which helps the conversation. Good news about your progress. Hopefully, you'll be able to do more soon. I can't remember how long I had to wear my boot, but it seems like forever at the time.

I finally got my Week 2 AJ challenge done and ready to post on the 8th. Well, I slept last night. That always happens - you don't sleep one night, but you do the next. I haven't had that happen for a long time and I'm still trying to figure out why it happened. I think maybe it was because I drank a beer and ate "bar food" that evening. It's a little greasy (the food) and they don't serve wine, so I drank a beer. It didn't really sit very well, either. I think maybe it was a combination of both.

Well, it's almost 11 and I need to make my tea in hopes of sleeping well tonight. Not very "newsy" am I?

Hugs to ALL and XOXO

What is happening to my retirement--crazier than work life.
There was so much food left from Rich's memorial party on Thursday that we all went to the tiki hut at the pool for Friday lunch. so much fun seeing his brothers again. Then at 4 I went into the clubhouse to set up for the craft fair the next day. I got a text from DD that my cousin passed away...OMG heart attack so easy way out for him but his family is devastated. I wont got to the ceremony as they are in CT but I will go visit his family when I'm up there this summer. He is my first cousin to pass and he was my favorite so I had a rough time but I stuck it out and finished set up. Got home at 7:30...my back was screaming! recliner and TENS machine.
Yesterday went to the club at 8 to finish set up and help craft people. Worked there the whole day till 3:30 rushed home to get ready to get picked up at 4:30 to go to a comedy show at the Elks...OMG we laughed so much...awesome show. What a fun time with friends.
So we have leftover plants from the plant show so a friend and I are going over today to plant them in front of the building...got to get some curb appeal! then tonight is trivia so I hope to take it easy at some point today but the yard is full of fallen magnolia leaves so clean up might before a break time..
I released 8 monarchs yesterday and Im pretty sure some will emerge today so I many release a few later today---it's always thirilling thing to do.

@faerywings I'm glad you had a good visit with your parents so now hopefully you can stay in that good mood. sound like you had a good time with DD and her hubby. Getting around better and being able to take boot off to drive is a great feeling I bet. Pretty soon "Total Freedom" I hear you about messy desk/office...I do not understand how that happens.

@mimes1 I'm so glad you had a good day. it sounds like a great day with friends and family. I love the "yoyo" dinner what a great idea for tonight! Thank you. Happy Scrapping. I didn't know you had shoulder problems.

@taxed4ever It does take time to get used to a retirement schedule...I still get up early but Hubby has no problem staying in bed so I always have to wait for him to get up so I can make the bed so my days start later than I want. may days of the week. I hope you are adjusting to having him around all the time. How nice he likes to do things it would be boring otherwise. Enjoy the retirement.

Wow all you ladies trying meatless meals...I could never try that at my house my hubby is a meat freak, got to have it so I am trying to work more fish into our meals as it is healthier.I just hear a woodpecker in my magnaolia tree but could not see it because it was on the other side.

Oh yes hubby is up so now I can get started...7:40 grrrr

Happy Sunday, my dears!
I slept so much better last night. Gary didn't even bother coming into bed because his restless legs were awful. Whisky stayed upstairs with Caitlyn and Tom, which left just me and Jaida in the bed. I had to push her off of my feet once or twice but it wasn't too hard since there was room for her to move to.
It's been dreary and drizzly here since yesterday morning. I am glad we aren't scheduled to be outside today at work. It's a meeting with the Board of Trustees and will be indoors.
I am so excited to get out of the house and to drive again. I didn't have any issues driving yesterday other than needing to move the car seat all the way back to get my leg in and out. Because I am so short, my seat is allll the way up, as far as it can go. If I shrink, I'm gonna need to sit on pillows or a booster seat. Ha!

FP was packed. I asked the woman who runs it how the USDA grant cuts will affect them and it's not good. They have some state funding but anything they get the Fed govt will run out at the end of their fiscal year in Oct. They won't be able to get any meat or produce. Any of the support they get from SNAP will be gone too. If I can swing it, I'll stop going so the people who are in desperate need will have enough. I go to keep my head above water so I can pay down our medical debt. But as long as I am not going to lose my house, I'm in better shape than many of the people there. The woman I was talking to is devasted and we both got very choked up. I dunno. It's hard. :(

The afternoon went by fast. I tried to tidy my office but *looks around* I don't know what happened. It still looks like a disaster hit. I worked on my lesson plans for the field trip on the 18th. I think I have that pretty much done. I watched my birds, there were so many goldfinches. They must have brought the entire family. I think I counted 8-9, all different shades and sizes, at one point. And that was just theones I could seee. I know more were hiding in the rhododendron LOL

As soon as I am done here, I have to get intehshwoer and off towork. This afternoon, I am making crispy lemon tofu and a vegan lemon pasta for dinner. Tom should be home from work around 6 and it's one of the few nights we get to have dinner with him.

Have a fantastic day!

@vickyday I hope you and your ladies had a nice time at Bible study and that Ruth is feeling better.

@tiffany scraps Welcome to the Ooos! I hope that you are getting lots out of the conference and sessions.
Were you any more successful at office cleaning than I was?

@taxed4ever Now you will 100% understand why I am so day/date challenged :giggle4:
It must have felt wonderful getting out in the yard and how exciting about the new deck.

@mimes1 Omg, YoYo dinner is too funny! I am going to steal that from you :p
Pickeball must have been a blast, bonus points for not hurting your shoulder! How is Mark's shoulder? Is it all healed too?
Seriously, how in the world did I miss that it was International Rat Day? I miss seeing the babies every day, Cait brings them down to me when she has time but with her being away for a few days, I didn't get to see those cute little faces

@Cherylndesigns Ava is in her third trimester already? :jawdrop3:
I hope that the weather calms down soon. I have to check out your AJ challenge today. *scribbles more on my To-do list*

@BoatLady I am so sorry about your cousin, Debby.
Umm, where in the world do you get your energy? You cram more in one day than I do in a month!
I have been using the muscle stimulator setting on the TENS machine almost every night. It's the best purchase I , made in years and I thank you very much for telling me about it.

Sorry for such short personals but I am running late. And dang, it feels good to be running late. That means I have somewhere i need to be :floorlaugh:
HUGS!!!

Warning: Be careful and don't overdo in the midst of the glee of being free! Been there/Done that and you don't want a setback! :beatingheart: :heartpumppink: :beatingheart:

Quick in and out today again. DD#1 and Hubby will be leaving this evening - late night flight back to Arizona. DSon#1 and his wife left MO Friday afternoon and ended up driving through a buzzard (edited: actually a Blizzard with snow not birds flying in the air) from the NM/TX border into Albuquerque. Then they hit more snow between Albuquerque and into Arizona. They arrived in Las Vegas, NV at midnight last night. So glad they made home safely. DS#2 and wife had their flight out of Springfield, MO delayed that same evening due to storms in the area. We had snow in the mountains all around us but only had some rain here in the valley. Thankful for the rain as we need the moisture badly. First moisture over .10" since mid November.

DD#3 came down yesterday afternoon to visit with DD#1 and me. It has helped having DD#1 and DD#3 here. Will miss having DD#1 here but she and her hubby need to get back to their home. I will get back to a more normal routine this week. I have a kit waiting for me to work on so will start working on it tomorrow. HAGD

Wow that day sounds about perfect to me. I love to play pickleball. I also had never heard of "yoyo" for everyone on their own for the meal forage. We do that often at our house and now I know exactly what to call it.

the mystery of the decade. Can you imagine the look on my face when I reached down into that boot and felt "something"
At least you didn't find them after you put your foot in and stepped on them- Found a dead mouse in my old gardening shoes out in the garage once. That's the last I saw of those shoes. I was more careful about leaving the garage door open in the fall.
I made Cinnamon Raisin French Toast Bake and will take syrup along. I hope it's good since I've never made it before!
Sounds yummy, I need to go have breakfast and get mo coffee.
Morning everyone and Happy Saturday? It is Saturday right?! I have lost count of the days since DH retired and this is only day 5 :giggle4:
First rule of retirement is Everyday is Saturday. Second rule, you don't go on vacation, since you're always on vacation you take trips.
We picked out our choice for the vinyl decking and that has been ordered, the railings are in production, so it shouldn't be too much longer before the work starts on replacing the two upper decks.
you will love your final deck , boy it's not barefoot friendly in the hot afternoon. I always think I can run out and fill the hummingbird feeders and end up doing this strange jumping bean dance while I'm doing it.
Pickleball was great, my shoulder did great, and no one got hurt!
Glad you had fun. Grands mom & stepdad have one on their driveway too. They all love to play.
I think maybe it was because I drank a beer and ate "bar food" that evening. It's a little greasy (the food) and they don't serve wine, so I drank a beer. It didn't really sit very well, either. I think maybe it was a combination of both.
That would do it to me especially if it was 7 or 8 at night. I just can't eat that late , my stomach doesn't handle greasy food anymore so I don't eat much deep fried food anymore. I don't usually eat fries, but the fries in Key West are phenomenal to one night I had dirty fries with grilled shrimp. Big basket of fries with shrimp mixed in and then a garlic parmesan sauce poured over it. It was amazing.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We are definitely at that age where our mortality is staring at us from up close. March was first anniversary of losing my favorite girl cousin, it was tough. I've lost 2 other 1st cousins. All too young, but one was sudden, and 2 cancer. sending love, prayers, and warm hugs while you remember the good things.
Wow all you ladies trying meatless meals...I could never try that at my house my hubby is a meat freak, got to have it so I am trying to work more fish into our meals as it is healthier.
Nope, that would not fly at our house, we both are meat eaters except in Key West where it's nothing but seafood other-than Wendell had bacon on egg breakfast mornings. . I practically lived on raw tuna. We're both meat eaters.
Ha!
My mil is short & bent like a shepherd's hook, she needed 2 pillows to sit on when she still could drive and she could still barely see over the steering wheel.

Got absolutely nothing done yesterday. Wendell paced around and then would stand looking over my shoulder-Then he started watching the Real McCoys and I got sucked in - That's a long way back in history my friends. I ended up on the couch in front of the fireplace doings commenting instead. Had talked about going to a winery today, but it's an hour and a half away and since nothing in MN is green yet, the $20 shipping for 4 cases & our wine club selection just seemed like a better deal. Luckily Wendell's nephew called last night & wanted help with something today so no Real McCoys and scrapping instead. I NEED coffee and my oatmeal -

Buzzard was what caught my eye here. I recently took a vacation in Hawaii and had a turkey fly into my windshield of the rental car. No one but the windshield and turkey was harmed. So of course I thought wow a buzzard! How did that turn out? Then of course I figured out it was a blizzard. I am glad they all travelled safely.

Oh, my... my eyes and brain did not catch the misspelling on that!!!

Good Morning Ladies.
Sounds like a busy Saturday for lots of you. Okay maybe it was just Debby @BoatLady who was crazy busy.
Debby I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. What terrible news to get while in the middle of something you cant just leave.
@BrightEyes Kay I had to laugh. I totally read Blizzard in your post and couldn't figure out why you added an edit. Had to read it three times before I saw buzzard :giggle4: :giggle4:
Okay Pot, listen to Kettle, dont over do it! @faerywings Hope you had fun today getting out and seeing your work friends. I bet it felt good.
Cheryl I love seeing you here and hearing what youre up to @Cherylndesigns
Twin you crack me up @JeanneMN The Real McCoy. I got sucked in by Star Trek Voyager last night. Was going to scrap some challenges and nope, got pulled in by the crazy plot. Love watching older shows with the kids and seeing them enjoy the simple crazy plots.
Yesterday was gloomy as was my attitude. I dont know that I did much. A couple sit ups, sauna, and then my feet up and not much else happened. Today will be the same other then church first, then sitting with my feet up. Its suppose to snow this week. April is so hard, like a lot of you have had, snow sun snow sun. We have 13 hours of daylight so that really helps.
Well, must run, coffee cup is empty and I need to gather my stuff for church. Have a wonderful afternoon!
PS @taxed4ever Trudy, retirement does find a balance but those early morning guys, seem to stay that way. My hubs still gets up at 5:00 a.m. Partly for stock market and partly cause his body just wakes him up. I dont get it :giggle4:

Good afternoon all,

I'm kind of "rudderless" today - i.e. no direction - just jumping from one thing to another and not accomplishing a thing. Don't know what's wrong with my brain today. I thought today was Saturday and I think I posted last night that it was Friday. :what!::crazy: Chris @faerywingswhen I saw your "Happy Sunday post",I had to check my phone. Yep, it is indeed Sunday.

Speaking of my phone, when I woke up early this am, it was in the most bizarre mode. Everything was HUGE and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I couldn't make any calls, or answer any texts. I was answering texts on my Apple watch, but they're "cut and dried" responses, like "Okay" or "that sounds good" things like that. :furious:Finally went on You Tube and it was in "Zoom mode". How it got there, I have NO idea. Kind of like my glasses in my boot. Jeanne @JeanneMN yes, that would have been worse to have stuck my foot down in the boot and probably broken them. A dead mouse in your garden boot???? I always turn my outside boots upside down and shake them just in case. When we lived in FL, we definitely had to do that with any shoes/boots we left outside. Chuck found a snake curled up inside my tennis shoe one morning. He said that if he hadn't found it, I would have had a heart attack.

Yes, Chris @faerywings can you believe that Ava is almost in her third trimester????? She is doing very well, but still has that "mass" that they're keeping their eye on. The plan now is for her to deliver Peanut, then they'll go in and "suck" that out. IF she happens to need a C Section, they can take it out then. We're still worried about that, but she's her usual optimistic self and thinks that it will be benign. She has her 3D and 4D ultrasound on the 19th and we'll get to go with her. Peanut would NOT show his face for the last one. I got to go in with her and they tried everything to get him to show it, but he refused. We're hoping he'll cooperate this time. Her due date is July 13th, but we're all making guesses as to when the real date will be. Her baby shower is in the middle of May.

Tracy @AK_Tracy I'm going to try to get in here more often. I miss all of you.

Well, I'd better get off of here and try to accomplish something around here. This has helped me get a little more grounded. Chris @faerywings go check out my challenge. It's still in the planning section and will go live on the 8th.

Hugs to ALL and XOXO
Debby @BoatLady, I'm so sorry about your cousin. I haven't lost any of my cousins yet, but it will be hard. We were all very close, growing up. We've drifted apart because we're all scattered across the country and have been for years. Sending you hugs.

I would have sworn yesterday was Sunday! Yet we hadn't gone to church so I knew it wasn't but it felt like Sunday. Today feels more like Saturday. Crazy weather crazy days!
