There are many artists, famous and not so famous, that have inspired me. My aunt was the greatest influence in my journey into art. She well known locally for her watercolors of the Adirondack area. She made this ballerina for me (all the girls in the family each got their own personalized ballerina). It hung on my bedroom wall when I was a child. She also made my cousin and me paper dolls that we played with for hours and hours. This is my tribute to my aunt.

The process began with an artsy paper from APP Inforescence. The ballerina was scanned from the original artwork and extracted. Some color was added to the tutu. Then I just began adding layers of brushes, transfers and overlays. The blending mode of most of them was changed to color burn. For the word art (this took a while) I looked for words that were in the quotes in the various kits. Some were cut out of phrases. The ones that I couldnt find, I made by creating a rectangle box with color and typing onto the box. I had an article about my aunt that I scanned, made a brush and stamped onto the page. If there was anything else I did, I dont remember. I worked on it, on and off, for 3 days.
Thank you for looking!
