it's what all people of good will everywhere want in their lives, i think. a way to earn an honest living and their daily bread. the quote has a deeper meaning for me, the meaning for which it was originally intended. but i think, as an idea, it applies worldwide.

p.s. that's me making bread!

Amazing page Phyllis and powerful quote. Work is very important, without it you die. Here the formal unemployment reached the 25%, (30% informal) and the suicides during 3 years reached the number of 3500. 500.000 children famish and a great number of people survive with soup kitchen of the church. However troika insists in more unemployment so in this way the government will save money to pay the national depth. Instead it troika brings new labor measures of a 6 days work for 12 hours every day and the lower salary to 300 Euros. The new face of slavery very soon will expand to the whole world. "Arbeit macht frei". Greece has become a concentration camp and the purpose is our extermination. There is humanitarian crisis here.
