Journaling reads: One of our favorite places is Mammoth Mountain, California, in the Eastern Sierras. On our first trip with Rachel able to walk around on her own she fell in love with the big Wooly Mammoth, just outside the Mammoth Mountain Inn. She would run over to it and hug its leg, and kiss it, and Ron would have to pick her up so that she could reach up and touch his mighty tusks.
