I'm updating my gallery here for Ashalee!

This is the story of my Great-Aunt's wedding in the 40's. She had to elope because they couldn't afford a big wedding. The photo was hand-tinted in the 40's.

Journaling reads:
Ellie and John eloped because they were worried that the big wedding Bea was planning would be too expensive. They were married nearby, but Ellie was sad none of the family made it to the ceremony since it was a secret. Edna was the only one who knew but she was mad at Ellie for hurting Bea's feelings.

Her excuse for not coming to the wedding was because she was chasing a pet monkey that lived in thier Brooklyn apartment!
