journaling: I was proud to take part in this historic election. Clarissa accompanied me to the polls at about 2:00pm. I was surprised and a little concerned that there was no line. But Livonia had 77% voter turnout. The vote was so close. Out of almost 60,000 voters, Obama/Biden won the city by a mere 165 votes. Nationally the percentage wasnt much different. When they announced an Obama victory, I woke Clarissa up and told her. She yelled WOO HOO before falling back to sleep.
