Journaling reads: Each year at work we have competitions where we decorate stockings or Santa Hats for Christmas. For 2011 we also had an Ugly Sweater competition. The sweaters could be either those holiday sweaters given to us over the years, or a sweater we decorated ourselves. The hat was to be decorated by all the glitter, bells, and other festive items that could be found spread out on the conference table. We would anonymously tack our hats to the bulletin board in the Conference Room, and then would secretly vote for the hat we liked best, never knowing who made each one. Our announcement of the winner came during a lunch of Pizza and Salad, where we would laugh and good naturedly made fun of each others hats.

I began with the Holiday Template, and clipped the various photos to the clipping masks of each frame, plus the large clipping mask. I added an Artsy Paper from AP Sugar, and then began modifying the various layers on the template, changing their blend modes & colors. I took the numbers from the various different template layouts, to create the 2011. I added additional artstrokes, and paint layers from AP Sugar, along with the edge overlay, and additional UrbanThreadz. I added the title, edging it with a white stroke, and then applied a shadow. I added the wordstrip names, and finished up with the journaling.
