The Process: I adore nessitas page Sevilla. It was fun to lift. I began with a neutral background, and added the photo. I masked the photo out, and then began painting back in just the areas I wanted. I ended up with 3 layers of the same photo, each on a different blend mode, and each with different areas masked a bit more here and there until I liked the result. The blend modes I used were Color Burn (for the bottom photo), then Linear Burn, painting in just the lighter areas of the building, and bringing that photo down to an opacity of 24%, and then the top layer was placed on blend mode Vivid Light. I used a number of Artsy Paints and WaterColor FotoBlendz under certain areas of the photo to intensify the colors of the brick street. I also used the cloud transfers from AP Summer Days to create the look of the sky, since blended the photo caused the sky to disappear. I then began adding various transfers along the edges, along with the Hipster Plume Korner N Edges, and the ThinStrips Masks, modifying each color to either a soft sienna, or a pale aqua, placing them mainly around the edge, to add depth. I played around with their blend modes until I liked the effect. Although I hadnt initially intended for the layout to have the color aqua throughout, I liked that one of the transfers had a bit of aqua, and decided to play that up, so the button I added, I recolored the center to the aqua. I added the sprig of flowers and the bow and then added the title, adding an outline, and a custom shadow. I finished up with 2 edge overlays. The ScriptTease overlay I left as is, but the Find My Way Overlay, I changed its color a bit to enhance the aqua in the page. For more texture, I added the pale dotted paper from AP Serenity, and placed it on blend mode M
Love how the perspective fades off! Beautiful blending and colors!!
