To Infinity and Beyond!

The other day I scrapped Rachel at age 3, called Pumpkin Faces https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=319883&title=pumpkin-faces&cat=1351 In that layout I pointed out how it was her first year to trick or treat, and to carve pumpkins, and that at the end of the day, she told her dad and me that she wanted to carve next years pumpkin with a circle mouth. This layout has next years pumpkin the one closes to Rachel is the Circle Mouth Pumpkin The two photos where Rachel is all giggles shows her as she almost always was as a little kid. Everything was great to this little kid, so much so that her daycare provider would call me on the weekends to ask if she could come over (her kids were little monsters I am sorry to say). I love these photos where she can hardly contain herself so bubbly with joy. Oh to be little again. Now, I tried to scrap this with your basic Halloween colors, but just couldnt. I think the paper fro AP Summer Breeze worked much better. ;)

Journaling reads: Halloween 1996. Yes - Toy Story was one of Rachels favorite Movies, so when we came across this Buzz Lightyear Halloween costume, she was so excited. She even had light up Buzz Lightyear sneakers, which worked out great for Halloween evening, as the lights made her more visible.
I now wish I had photos of her with the wings on, but I learned that although there is excitement of heading out to Trick or Treat - photos must be taken when things are fresh and new, and the kids are not as tired. Although Rachel was still all giggles for these photos, she was over wearing the wings!

Buzz Lightyear from the www
The Process: This one was easy, as I began with Anna new Artsy Layered template. I didnt have to recolor anything on the template but I did change the size of the photo frames were modified just a bit, and they were moved a little to the right and down, and added 2 of the heavy textured transfers from AP Tinge Tranfers. I added the Artsy Paper from AP Summer Breeze as it brought in the perfect color for the Halloween costume Rachel was wearing. I added the 3 photos, duplicated them, and then placed the duplicate of each photo above the frame layer. I then masked out all but the areas that extended beyond the frames. I added the Everyday Words, and an Arrow (which was part of one of the LoopDaLoop Arrows). I added another LoopDaLoop Arrow, duplicated it, and then used the smudge tool to create the shadow effect (lowering its opacity). I added the title, rotating the LoopDaLoop so that it extended through the title. I added the journaling, and the edge overlay. I then went hunting for some Buzz Lightyear images, and found a few desktop wallpapers. I extracted the one flying and placed it above the arrow. The other one, I placed partially off the page, bringing down its opacity. I finished up with a warm glow behind the photos.

***thanks for looking***
Really lively, fun page, Joanie! So cute how you have Rachel 'jumping' out of the frames with excitement! I'm especially fond of Buzza few years back my boys and I were in Disneyworld and I told them Buzz Lightyear was my hero, my boyfriend. Since then they buy me Buzz stuff and tease me about my boyfriend!

Fantastic layout. I love the white. In the photos and on the page in paint and clouds. This makes just the right amount of green. It's like a page out of a storybook. Great use of OOB, too.

I love this, brings back memories of my oldest grandson now almost 14 when everything was about Buzz Lightyear....wonderful blending of Buzz in the background and those pictures of your granddaughter just way to cute!

Sara adored Buzz Lightyear too! She still has a small toy on her shelf at home LOL!! Fabulous page and I think the colours are perfect! :)

Great colors for Buzz Lightyear, love your journaling, the out of bounds with her feet in these adorable photos! This is so cute!!

This is so beautiful and funny! I love the 'figures' and the great and so sweet pictures!
