Process

I started with the transfers,recoloring,resizing,duplicating,blending.Then I imported my image #1,duplicated it five times and placed a mask on each layer.I used different brushes on the layers to reveal and conceal my image.When this was complete,I noticed that it sort of diminished the lines of wood grain in my birdhouse,so on the top layer of the duplicated images I used poster edges filter and that made me happy.Stains,splatters,transfers,overlays were layered next around the page design and some over the image.I used another image,blended that like the first,but with more flowers on the left.For this I did the same thing on duplicated layers.I finished with ScriptTease,MultiMedia and InkedWords title.The background layer was an artsy paper from the APP.

This Story is about my love of gardening and the journey.The birdhouse was made and given to me by my best friend's father,Bud.Somewhere along the way,we convinced Bud to start making birdhouses for us.At first he would make them only for us,but as time went on,others saw them in our gardens when they visited and wanted some for themselves too. So Bud had more business than he could complete by himself. That's when he wife Lorraine joined in and they created a thriving business selling rustic birdhouses. During that time,Bud developed Alzheimers and has since passed,but part of his legacy lives on in many gardens.

Some of my houses are aging,as wood will do,but whenever I am in the gardens,I think of Bud and Lorraine and the fun we all had with the "birdhouse project".

All of my journaling that is not included on my layouts,is placed on a separate pocket page and included in my albums with each layout.
