December 1, kind of snuck up on me. At 11 pm on November 30 I discovered that I had not thought to buy the girls an advent calendar. We dug into the Christmas boxes and found the calendar I cross stitched when I was 7 or 8 years old. The calendar has always hung on my wall at Christmas, but it has never been used as one before. Then we found some chocolate hidden in our cupboard, some leftover wrapping paper from last Christmas and sat at the kitchen table wrapping tiny pieces of chocolate and hanging them on the calendar. It turned out fine and will probably be something we'll do every year from now on. And the girls loved it when the woke up this morning!
