The Abstract Posy

Wonderful new products coming to the Oscraps store very soon....

I absolutely adore Anna's artsy stains and splatters and always get excited when I see new kits.

When you open up the file it reminds me of when I did physical painting and often dabled in abstracts.

So much fun splashing paint across a canvas or a piece of paper to see where it ends up and what you can do with it.

I felt like this when i opened the ArtsyStains11 and the Splatters7.

I have been manipulating a lot of my images on my iPad and knew which one I would pick to play with these products.

I started with my 12 x 12 page and chose two splatters and two stains and simply dropped them on their own layers on the white page and began to move them around and around on the page till an idea triggered. I wanted to create an abstract flower posy.

Once I was happy with the general shape I then grouped all the stains and splatters together and placed my image on a layer above the group and clipped it to the group via - Layer - Create Clipping Mask (ATL+CTRL+G).

Once my image was clipped i did play with the sizing of the image and the group of stains and splatters till I was satisified and mainly did this using the free transform tool - CTRL +T.

It looks like a lovely mess of colour and fun.

your process makes this sound so simple but the end result is complex and fascinating! I love what you created!!
