I have been wanting to scrap about this for some time. Thanks for getting me to it Amanda!
Journaling:
I have lived in Racine, Wisconsin for most of my life, never more than 10 miles from Lake Michigan. Throughout the years the
sound of the fog horn from the light house has always been there, calling out to all the ships and all the lost souls, warning
them of the dangers of coming too close to the shore and keeping them company. It sounds mournful and alone, and yet it begs
to be heard and asks you to remember them, the ones still out there. The lone watchman in the night.
I have always loved this sound. In the middle of the night when I cant sleep, it called to me, letting me know I was not alone.
Sometimes the sound would lend itself to dreams as I wondered what it was like in years past as people sailed the treacherous
waters. It lets me dream of things and places I want to do and see. The lonesome sound beckons me to drift off, feeling peaceful
and watched over.
