Sweetest You

Journaling reads: Although you didnt like the long line waiting to get your face painted at your school end of year picnic, you were so excited when Miss Flossie started painting your face. Miss Flossie gave you a hand mirror so that you could watch as she carefully painted the rainbow wings. You couldn't stop looking in the mirror, and I loved seeing the delight in your eyes, at your being a little butterfly princess for the day - so very sweet!

The Process: This layout was so very simple, because most of it was Annas template. Once the background paper, and the photos were added, I began changing the color of the various layers within the template. I added elements from ArtPlay Palette Skys the Limit to the bottom of the double photo frame, and added the alpha, changing the color of each letter to match the colors of the face paint in the photos. I then added a few other butterflies from various palettes. I took the butterfly from ArtPlay Palette Storm and changing each one to the four various colors, masked the butterfly to give it the rainbow effect. I added a few additional colors by using some of Annas new Artsy Paint No. 4 brushes, changing their colors. I finished up with the LoopDaLoop Flutterbys, changing it to the dark pink to match Coras TShirt.

***thanks for looking***
Oh my!! I love the butterfly!! Great photos. I love that you used a muted but colorful background. Really allows you to focus on the photos.
