the name May-pole is loosly translated from maj-stng. wherest the maj there refers to the verb "maja" "to dress in green branches and not the month of Maj.

Det ska bli sknt med sommar och speciellt midsommar! Jag vet att "maj" inte har med mnaden att gra, men eftersom den hr tvlingen hlls i maj s kanske folk utgr frn att det har med mnaden maj att gra. :)
