Summer Love

Although Cora and her Grandfather did not plan on getting wet, Cora kept wanting to go deeper and deeper, and by the time they were done, both were wet. Since they had not planned to go to the beach, they had not bathing suits on, or towels, to dry off, but they had fun just the same. I love the photo of Cora hold out her wet dress as she heads for shore.

Layered Edge Overlays No. 2 http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=30612&page=1

The Process: As I was finishing up a layout, I stopped at an Artsy Paper from AP Go See, and knew immediately I had to use it. I thought it would work out perfectly to blend a number of photos on the paper, and it also had some great texture on the page as well (gotta have that texture!!! ). I added the photos to each area. I placed three copies of the photo in each area the lowest photo on the stack was on Blend Mode Color Burn. I masked out the edges of each photo, and then duplicated it, and kept this new layer on the same blend mode. I copied it again, but this new layer was placed on either blend mode darken or normal, depending on the photo itself. The last layer(s) of photo(s), all was masked out, and then I began painting back in just the areas I wanted, using a soft brush, with low opacity. The original photos were a bit dark, and dull, as the day was overcast, and the color burn blend mode gives the photo great lightness. I also love that the blend modes allow the textures to show through as well. Once the photos were in place, I began adding a few additional transfers, and the edge overlay. I then added the LoopDaLoop, and added a SeaSprinkle were the other elements of the LoopDaLoop were. I added the WordART under these elements, and then added the UrbanThreadz. I added an additional starfish on the left edge, along with another UrbanThreadz. I am glad I came across this Artsy Paper, as it worked out so perfectly, and Coras mom loved the results.
