We loved a rare chance to take moody photos of fog, but smoke wasn't the same. We opted not to visit RMNP because the smoke was a threat to our health. It hung over our lake and of course it would be worse farther west. Nothing beautiful about it and our deal felt a lot like a stay-at-home order.
