I've had the idea for this layout rattling round in my mind for a while now, but it wasn't until Anna Aspnes moved to Oscraps and I saw her amazing products, did I know how to scrap it.
Thanks, Anna.
Journaling reads:
Sept 10th Today I learned the usual things life with a 10 month old teach you. It was an ordinary day, so ordinary that I my diary is blank. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, the day was so ordinary that I dont actually recall it. An unremarkable day. A day lost in time. An unimportant day. For me, anyway.
Sept 11th Today I learned the horror of absolute evil. We all saw. The whole world saw. Sara & I were sitting in Starbucks when Marsha burst in and told us, told the whole room. We rushed home, craving the sanctity of safety offered behind our own front doors. And there I remained, glued to the TV, mesmerised, horrified. Absolutely every single one of us knows where we were and what we were doing that day. A devastating day, totally unbelievable.
Sept 12th Today I learned about Alex Nxxxx. And I cried. I cried for Nxxxx & the kids. I cried for the Nxxxx. I cried for the awfulness of it all. I cried with fear over the world I was bringing my child into. I cried because what else was there to do. An extraordinary day, all too horribly real.
A decade on, I find myself thinking of Nxxxx again. And crying afresh.
