Here's my take on the Great Pumpkin challenge, and thank heaven for this challenge! I've been in the middle of a scrap drought for days! My muse has gone walkabout with no explanation, no kiss good-bye, no indication of when she might return. Sigh. I hate it when that happens! This challenge sparked an idea--finally!--and I've had a blast making this page.
The extracted photos are of my brother-in-law and my niece. After carving jack o' lanterns last year, they had fun posing with them, and I had fun planting their photos into a Photoshop pumpkin patch!
My niece is not fond of this photo, not only because of the goofy look on her face but because of the rather severe pony tail she's wearing. She's discovered boys recently and has become a bit more preoccupied with her appearance than she was a year ago. She's already dreading bringing a boy over for Sunday dinner, since she knows that dessert and coffee are always accompanied by looking through Aunt Shirley's latest scrapbooks! I can't wait!
I was careful to not recolor the Great Pumpkin we were to use in this challenge, although I did tuck a piece of paper behind it.
