Route 66/Anna lift

Since 1926, driving down Route 66 has been the experience of a lifetime for travelers, adventurers, desparados and dreamers. No other road has captured the imagination and the essence of the American Dream quite like Route 66. It was one of the original highways in the U.S. It served as a major path for those who migrated west and supported the economy of the communities it passed through. Portions of the road that passed through Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico anfd Arizona have been designated a National Scenic Byway.

Love how you superimposed the Route 66 onto the abandoned road. Really gives the feel of the desolation of it now. My family traveled Route 66 almost every year, traveling from Florida to California, when I was a child. So many memories of those "out of the way" towns and the kind people we met. Gorgeous page and great reminder for me. BTW, love the touch of red!

How great, love the black and white with the pop of red, the photo and blending is beautiful, love the stiches, a great take on the challenge!!

Amazing story deserves an equally amazing page. I love how this all came together and the overlay on the road is Devine!

What a tribute to an important part of American history! Stunning, in fact. I grew up in Illinois and was well acquainted with route 66.

A great piece of history. Love how you represented the "66" and that you have the photo in b&w.
