For the last couple of months my daughter and SIL have been on a roller coaster ride trying to get help for my grand-dog Oliver, who was first diagnosed with a digestive inflammation, which turned into a diagnosis of arthritis, which turned into a diagnosis of prostate cancer, and “oh no, it's not that, it's bladder cancer”...until the last and most conclusive test said: no cancer. How happy we all were to get a reprieve, as both these types of cancer are brutal and quickly fatal. After that test, the vet loaded Oliver with painkillers and basically kicked them all to the curb, saying “it's the end of the road here.” I just cannot imagine. Anyway, the kids, with our help, have been assembling a new vet team of primaries and specialists (it's difficult to get appointments because of Covid), and our fingers are crossed for some answers sooner rather than later. This has just been going on too darn long.
