JOURNALING SAYS:
My husband, Rick, and I grew up in similar circumstances. Both our families were considered fairly poor. But their was one major difference. While I grew up in a city, Rick grew up surrounded by all this. His three younger sisters and he would go hiking and swimming in the summer. Some of their friends owned boats so they would cruise the surrounding lakes for hours In winter, they would ride old, cheap snowmobiles, or if they didnt have any they would simply build snow forts and play in the snow. They were often outside all day until their Mom called them in for supper.
