10-10-10. The tenth of October 2010, must be a kind of magical date somehow. We got in the car and went to Grdd to paint the new little shed. Grandfather and great grandmother came along too. Oskar fell asleep with his bottle at about lunch time, and I, dh, Grandfather and Emma could start painting. I'm sure the wind was reaching storm speed every now and then, the paint actually blew out of the brush. We were focused, and painted to get it done and to go inside. Oskar normally sleeps for a bit more than two hours, and after two hours I went inside to check on him. It turns out that he'd been awake for about an hour, and Great grandmother and Emma (who went inside freezing) had been taking care of him. Oskar was really happy, and so was Great grandmother, really satisfied to have been able to take care of Oskar and be useful. After that, Oskar could come out and play in the storm.

My grandmother, 89 yrs old, has not been well lately, but seemed to be feeling so much better after this babysitting event. I think the good from this still lasts!
