process: after placing the pumpkin stitches on a solid background, i painted on different layers and then filled the pumpkins. some of the paint layers were shaped using the warp tool in photoshop. you could fill the pumpkins with paper, photos, buttons, or even word strips (i think this would work really well with the word excerpts).
