Remember WordART Mix No. 1 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Remember-WordART-Mix-No.-1.html
For this challenge, I wanted a nighttime City shot, which I didn't find in my ever-growing catalog of photos. But I did have this picture of a hotel in Quebec as night was approaching. Read below to see how I turned it into a night shot.
Process: First, I needed to turn the photo into a night shot. I clicked on the blue sky with the Magic Wand tool and continuous checked. With this selection made, I did Edit>Fill black. I painted over the areas that the selection tool missed. I duplicated the photo and changed the blend mode to Multiply. I had a nighttime shot. I used Solid Paper 1 from APP Capture for my page.
I used the APP Document Brush 6 for the photomask. I enlarged it and then clipped my photo to it using Layer>Create Clipping Mask. FotoGlow 1 from APP Anything was added to the page. I placed it over the building and shrunk it a bit, reducing the opacity to approximately 75%. I thought it looks a bit like the moon. I used Glow 1 from Warm Glow 8. I placed it over the building and shrunk it a bit, reducing the opacity to approximately 75%. I thought it looks a bit like the moon. I used Glow 1 from Warm Glow 8. I placed it over the picture and added a mask and used black to reveal the street lights.
I then used various brushes to ask color and movement to the page. I chose a title from Remember WordArt. It was just as night was falling, so the lights were on and showed up brighter in the adjusted photo. Don't let little things get in the way of using a picture that isn't just quite what you want. Usually, you can find a way to adjust it.
