Pretty Girl

An older photo of Grace looking pretty in her hat.

While I really like the minimal look currently in vogue, I really have problems with it, trying to work with small photos and elements. After reading Vinne Pearce's "Digital Scrapbooking" book, I used one her techniques which really helped to achieve this look. I began by creating my page as I would normally, using the larger photo and elements. When I was happy with the placement of everything I then highlighted all the layers except the background paper. Once highlighted I dragged one corner in to make the selection smaller. While the layers were still highlighted as a group I was also able to move it around to find the right position for it. Then I added the title. I really found this technique helpful and will be using it again no doubt.
Thanks for looking :) - Ona

Beautifully done Ona ... thanks for sharing the tip from Vinnie's book (the one you won at catscraps right???) ... I'd say you've "nailed" the technique perfectly!!!
