Fenway is my running pal. Were about the same age now so the miles are less and the pace quite a bit slower. This road follows a mountain stream that is so beautiful it takes ones breath away... spring wild flowers dancing in the breeze... bald eagles soaring on thermals... wildlife around every bend. We have put in many miles up and down this dirt trail... doing hill repeats as training for my marathons. This past fall Colorado experienced unprecedented rains for several days. Flooding was extensive. Our favorite road is now gone along with homes that were close to the rivers edge. It will be years before the area is open again but the memory is still as fresh as if we had just enjoyed our mornings sweet escape.
