It was always an honor to participate in the Junior Lodge. Community service and respect for others were character traits nurtured in the children at the Home. The Junior Lodge traveled to different cities in the area to participate in Woodmen of the
World conventions.

Several of Frans best friends shared in these adventures... fostering special relationships over the years. After graduating High School and leaving the home, many of the children kept in touch. However, Ella Mae Smith, Frans best friend, left for Arizona to be with relatives and sadly, was never heard from again. Even with the advent of internet search, no trace of her has been found. Sadie Pulliam moved to California, became engaged but was murdered before her marriage.
