That's a terrific use of the paintbox. I happen to love that element, but it's so strong I can never wind up squeezing it in. Here it acts as sort of a frame edge but also echoes colors and shapes that repeat in the photos--love that! Sicily is on our trip list BTW, so this series is particularly fun to see.
