I doubt I will get through all the challenges, but thats okay. This is Duster (my sweet quarter horse) & my dd. Duster is a very mellow and pretty much bomb-proof, which is what I need, because I am not much of a rider - started after years of my dd taking lessons - and I am old and cautious-cuz I want to stay alive.
Journaling reads: Duster is seldom bothered by anything. Whereas most horses sniff things to decide if they are okay, Duster seems to sniff everything, just because he likes to. We cannot walk by him without him reaching out to sniff. He will sniff for a good long time too, at least until we decide he has sniffed enough and we walk past. I told Rachel that was the one thing about Duster she would have to get use to. Now, when she rides she thinks it is so funny that she must always stop to let him sniff, and sniff, and sniff.
